Jensen and Mason both grew up in Kansas City, but our paths didn’t cross until we were both living in Colorado. We met one night in April 2022 in Denver at Crimson & Gold, which at the time was Jensen’s college go-to bar. We were both at Crimson & Gold that night celebrating the University of Denver hockey team’s national championship, Mason with his Air Force lacrosse teammates, who picked the bar because one of their friends was the bouncer and also happened to be a longtime friend of Jensen and Maddie. Mason walked up to Jensen at the bar and broke the ice by ordering a drink with the line, “I’ll have what she’s having.”

It was a simple sentence, a shared smile, and then a surprising discovery. We were both from the same hometown, yet meeting for the very first time. From that moment, it felt like something meant to be.

As the months passed, our connection grew naturally. Jensen was drawn to Mason’s ambition and his dedication to the Air Force, along with his dream of becoming a pilot. That kind of commitment takes strength, passion, and discipline.

Mason, in turn, was captured by Jensen’s sweetness, her thoughtful nature, and her lighthearted goofiness that made even ordinary days feel full. What began as friendship and admiration slowly grew into something deeper, until we found ourselves as best friends who simply love doing life together.

On New Year’s Eve in 2024, Mason proposed on a quiet bridge at the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City. With the winter air and the glow of the Plaza lights around us, it was just the two of us. It was intimate, simple, and perfect.

Afterward, we celebrated with our families at Seasons 52, then joined friends who were waiting to help ring in the new year. It was a night that marked the start of forever.

With Mason’s upcoming flight assignment and a life filled with travel and adventure ahead, we feel excited and ready for whatever comes next. We know that what matters most is experiencing life side by side.

Our wedding is not only a celebration of saying “I do,” but a celebration of every mile, every moment, and every twist of timing that finally brought our lives together. And we cannot wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people!
